About Dr. Preeta Sharan
A post doctorate from IIT Kharagpur and currently a competent professor with 22+ years of experience in Education, Research, Student Mentorship, association with international universities and organizations. Built R&D center from scratch for innovative research. Delivered projects for prestigious funding agencies across the world as lead investigator like Naval Research Board-DRDO India, IEEE USA, Govt. of Karnataka (KVGST), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), KSCST, AICTE-RPS, VGST, DST. With multiple patents(17 in process, research publications reaching 100+, sanctioned projects form IEEE, ICMR in pipeline the R&D center is growing under my leadership.

Dr. Preeta Sharan
Lab Director
Dr. Preeta Sharan obtained her Master degree from Banaras Hindu University and Ph. D from IIT BHU, Varanasi. Additionally, she did her post doctorate from IIT Kharagpur in the domain of Optical Sensor. She has published many papers in reputed journals and conferences. She has visited many countries for the research papers presentation in the domain of Nano-photonics, Optical sensors and Quantum dots. She is currently working as Professor and research head in Department of ECE, Oxford college of Engineering Bangalore. She has taken various funded projects from government of India such as ICMR, VGST, NRB, IEEE, AICTE etc. Her area of research includes integrated optics, Surface Plasmonic Resonance, Fiber Bragg grating, Quantum dots etc. She has taken membership of technical body like IEEE, ISTE, IETE and IMAPS. She is also the SIGHT coordinator of IEEE Bangalore section, India.
Anup M Upadhyay
Senior Researcher
Dr. Anup M Upadhyaya currently serving as Assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, The oxford college of engineering, Bangalore. He received his undergraduate degree in Industrial and Production Engineering in National Institute of Engineering, Mysore during 2011 and Postgraduate in Automotive Engineering in PES central campus during 2013. He completed his PhD from Amity University, Uttar Pradesh in Mechanical and Automation Engineering. His career began in 2014 in teaching in MVJ College of Engineering as Assistant professor and he also worked as Finite Element Analyst for Easi Engineering (Allegis group) Bangalore. He is IEEE Student internship coordinator for Bangalore section since 2018. He also worked as investigator for funding agency like ICMR, New Delhi, AICTE as Co-Investigator and Principal Investigator in VGST Project. He having several patent for different biomedical sensing system. He also presented many papers in international conferences held abroad and also published several research papers in Q1 and SCI journals on topic optical MEMS, Biomechanics. He is more passionate towards research on Optical MEMS Sensors, Biomechanics.
